What We Do

We strive for spiritual growth and evolvement so as to become ever more surely the living church following the ancient tradition of Jesus'first followers.

We create Circle Church here; we give one and all an opportunity to reflect on the Readings of the day; we promote the ministries of lector, Eucharistic Minister, and greeter. Our liturgical environment and art are rich sources of beauty and inspiration. Sacred dancers enhance our prayer experiences. The talents and gifts of all are incorporated into the liturgy. We are especially proud and happy to have our first woman priest of the Ecumenical Catholic Church. Kathy McCarthy was ordained by Bishop Hickman on Pentecost , June 11, 2000.

We want to think of ourselves as a Center for the arts and education--
We further the ongoing learning process in many ways; we treasure the development of the arts, and integrate all of this into the evolving of the spiritual journeys of one and all.

Ned and Maria (outside mass) Programs include:

· Creation Spirituality study sessions every Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter frequently discussing related books. Over the years many have been studied, among them: Natural Grace by Matt Fox, Peace is the Way by Deepok Chopra, the Isaiah Effect by Gregg Braden, The Power of Intention by Wayne Dyer.

· Understanding the Roots of our Faith seminars are offered every winter and spring.

· Classes to prepare for Baptism, Confirmation, First Communion, and Marriage are available, AS WELL AS, a class offering information on the history of our own church as new folks arrive.

· Evenings of poetry, art, drama, and movement are welcomed.

· A Christmas dinner dance is enjoyed every December.

· An overnight quiet time is available as preparation for Christmas and Easter.

· Socials and potlucks with talent shows are lots of fun and create community appreciation and joy.

· The Blessing of the Animals is held every year around the feast of St. Francis.

· New and different retreats are being created and offered to one and all.

· The Pathfinder Retreat Movement is explained on the following page and deserves its own full explanation.

· The Community is governed by the Wisdom Circle, created in April of 2003 as a way for full participation in decisions and administration.

· A revitalized set of by laws and guiding principles was completed in the Fall of 2004.

· A very important part of the local life of the church is an outreach to the Mid-Valley Interfaith Council with full participation in their many meetings and services.

· Members of the Community do personal outreach services helping the marginalized and poor folks of this area.
